(WXYZ) — President Donald Trump posted a letter Thursday evening from retired Marine and lawyer John Dowd about the recent protests.
In the letter is referred to protesters demonstrating near Lafayette park in Washington D.C. as "terrorists using idle hate filled students to burn and destroy."
Trump posted on Twitter that the letter "would be of interest to the American people." It's since been retweeted over 35,000 times.
