Turning Point hosts 10th anniversary of Tara's Walk

Posted

On Saturday, September 30, Turning Point will mark the 10th anniversary of Tara’s Walk.

Tara’s Walk began as a way for Tara’s family to share her legacy and promote awareness on the issue of domestic violence. Turning Point, the host and advocacy organization fighting domestic violence, expects more than 600 participants. This year’s Walk will take place on the grounds of the impressive Freedom Hill Amphitheater, located at 14900 Metropolitan Pkwy in Sterling Heights. Tara Grant’s sister and family will join the audience and participate in the Walk as they do each year, in remembrance.

Family Activities will include face and pumpkin painting, caricature sketches, picnic
lunch, music and more. The cost is $25.00 per person or $20.00 per person for group of 6. Kids under 12 can participate for free.
