DETROIT — It’s called Twitter philanthropy.

And Bill Pulte, CEO of Pulte Capital Partners LLC., says he invented it.

“What we’re trying to do is get awareness for philanthropy, and bringing philanthropy from the old outdated days when you had to fill out a form and bring it online,” he said as he gifted a new car to a Michigan veteran.

Pulte surprised 79-year-old Bill Belcher with a new Chevrolet Trax.

“I appreciate everything he’s done. It’s just unbelievable,” said Belcher.

Pulte says he has $1 million to give away via good deeds and Twitter.

He Tweeted that held be giving away a new car to a veteran if President Trump retweeted him.

Trump did and said: “Thank you Bill. Say hello to our great veterans.”

Pulte says this is not a partisan issue. He wants action and kindness to go viral.
