One child is in critical condition and another in serious condition after their mother was allegedly drunk driving and crashed in Highland Park on Sunday night.
It happened around 10 p.m. at Hamilton and Brighton.
According to police, their mother crossed into oncoming traffic and she struck another vehicle head-on. The mother refused a breathalyzer test. She was taken to the hospital.
Police tell 7 Action News they are trying to obtain a search warrant.
Police say the children are 6 and 7 years old. They were not wearing seat belts.The other driver was also taken to the hospital.
The woman who is around the age of 30 has a history of DWIs. Her most recent was in Livonia just last year.
