(WXYZ) — Two universities in Michigan are among the top 100 in the world.
U.S. News and World Report ranked 1,250 universities in the U.S. and 60 countries.
The University of Michigan made it to the top 20 – it is ranked at number 18.
Michigan State University made the top 100, coming in at number 90.
The University of Michigan also ranked number 11 in global research reputation. Twenty of MSU's academic programs appeared in the 2019 rankings.
The top five on the list include Harvard University, MIT, Stanford University, University of California – Berkeley and University of Oxford – United Kingdom.
