WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Two girls who ran away from their Chesterfield Township home last Friday have been found safe, police say. The girls were located safely on Detroit's west side with the help of the US Marshalls and Detroit police.
On April 17, Vanessa Shain and Savannah Shain got into an argument with their parents and left their home without their cell phones, police say.
The girls had not been seen or heard from since they ran away, until they were located in Detroit.
Police said earlier that they believed the girls may have been in western Wayne County.
