"Handle your liquor better, that's my advice," said Dee Miller who was in Greektown Saturday night when Detroit Police say two men began shooting at security guards from an establishment on Beaubien Street near Lafayette Street.

"They're firing indiscriminately," said Detroit Police Assistant Chief Arnold Williams who also told reporters Monday that officers were able to arrest the two men believed to be responsible and recover two firearms.

Not even 48 hours later, multiple shots were fired just a few blocks away in a parking lot at Larned Street and Brush Street.

No one was arrested in the second incident, but police were able to recover three weapons.

There were no reported injuries in either shooting.

These latest shootings in downtown Detroit have police stepping up patrols.

Assistant Chief Williams says they will also be addressing their safety concerns with the owners of businesses where they have had increased problems with unruly patrons and crowds.
