Uber is testing out new ways to make their cars a little more visible.
According to an Uber blog post, the company is hoping to make pickups a little easier by color-coding in Seattle.
This technology, called SPOT, would help riders find their drivers through the use of what looks like a giant vehicle glow stick.
The SPOT device simply connects to the driver's windshield. When someone requests a ride, they also select a color of their choice.
When the driver gets close by, the bar then lights up with that same color. Users can even make their phone colorfully glow—helping the driver get a visual, too, according to Uber.
The goal of this technology, Uber writes, is to trim down wait times by helping create a more seamless pickup experience.
