(WXYZ) — The upcoming biopic about Aretha Franklin has been met with criticism from her family.
Franklin's youngest son, Kecalf Franklin, took to social media to express his frustration over having no input on the movie.
"Everything else is being done against our wishes," he said. "The Franklin family [does not] support the movie that is in production."
The "RESPECT" movie, starring Jennifer Hudson, is set to be in theaters Oct. 9, 2020.
