Five injured after crash involving two semis on Northbound US-23 in Milan

Five people were injured in a crash involving two semi trucks on US-23 at Plank Rd. in Milan.

One person is in critical condition and was transported by the University of Michigan life flight and three are in serious condition. Another person is in stable condition.

One of the semis is a gravel hauler that is jackknifed while the other appears to be towing a piece of construction equipment.

Police say it's expected northbound will remain closed for a "prolonged period of time."

At least two semi trucks were involved in a crash that has both directions of US-23 closed at Plank Rd. (exit 25) in Milan.

The University of Michigan life flight is on scene with at least one person in the helicopter.

A major crash involving a semi has closed both directions of US-23 at Plank Rd. (exit 25) in Milan.

According to the Milan Police Department, emergency crews are on scene of the accident, which happened around 3:30 p.m.

We're told the crash involved a gravel hauler. Right now, it's not clear if there are any injuries or what caused the crash.
