The U.S. Coast Guard Detroit says three boaters who went missing on Lake Erie have been found safe.
The boaters were reported missing in the area of Maumee Bay around midnight. The Coast Guard identifies the rescued men as John Coates, Jesse Perez and Ryan Root.
The men were reported missing after they did not return home Sunday night from their fishing trip.
We're told there was an issue with their boat's propeller.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter located the men after eight hours of searching. A witness had reported a flare sighting off of Luna Pier.
