DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a hit and run that happened overnight outside of a downtown Detroit nightclub.
Officers say around 2:30 a.m., a valet driver was parking a vehicle for Legends Club off Congress and Brush. The valet driver was getting out of a car and as he opened the car door, a vehicle hit him. Police say the valet attendant ended up on the hood of the suspect vehicle.

The parking attendant was on the hood of the suspect vehicle before falling off. The suspect continued driving.
A good Samaritan helped the valet driver after he was thrown off the hood of the suspect vehicle. The helper told a 7 Action News photographer the victim suffered injuries to his head and legs.
Witnesses say they saw a dark colored jeep, but police have not officially released a description of the vehicle.

The valet parking attendant was taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
