WALTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 25-year-old driver is walking away with minor injuries after his vehicle rolled over into an icy creek in Walton Township.

On Jan. 21 around 7:35 a.m., Eaton County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of a vehicle crash in the Baker Highway and Stine Road area. Initial information stated a single car rolled over into the creek. Right now, officials believe speeding on the icy road caused the crash.

Deputies say the driver walked a short distance to a nearby home. EMS transported the 25-year-old Potterville man from the home to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Olivet Fire Department responded the scene to assist with removing the vehicle from the water.

Neither alcohol or drugs are believed to be factors, deputies say.
