Vera Bradley is investigating after reporting a data breach that could affect credit cards used in store.

According to the company, they were notified last month about the incident, and launched the investigation. They found unauthorized access to the company's payment processing system and the installation of a program that looked for and tracked payment card data.

Cards used at Vera Bradley stores between July 25, 2016 and Sept. 23, 2016 may have been affected. Not all cards used in the store at this time were affected, the company said. Credit cards used for online orders were not affected.
