Dog mauling victim's death ruled suicide

Posted

The victim's death in a Port Huron dog mauling case has been ruled a suicide by the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office.

The ME's office tells 7 Action News that 22-year-old Rebecca Lillian-Kay Hardy died from multiple injuries.

Last Thursday, Hardy climbed over a resident's fence and was attacked by two dogs.

She was pronounced dead a short time later at a local hospital.

We're told Hardy had recently gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and walked more than a mile barefoot to the fenced-in yard. Sources tell 7 Action News she was aware that the homeowner had dogs.

Hardy leaves behind an 8-month-old daughter.
