Michael Emory served 19 years in the U.S. Army and says he knows what it feels like to not belong.

It's that feeling that gave him the idea to start Victory Gym, along with four other investors. Victory Gym is a workout facility that caters to veterans.

“When I was out of the Army, I felt lost like I was not a sergeant anymore. Doing this I feel like a sergeant again. It’s my job to take care of soldiers,” says Emory.

“It’s way more than just working out. It’s community, everything coming together to make something great,” adds Jonathan Cole, a veteran who also works at the gym.

Victory Gym is a non-profit. Membership for veterans is free, everyone else pays $15 a month, but the money goes back into the gym.

Victory Gym is always looking for donations.
