TAYLOR, Mich. — The Michigan State Police released dashcam video of a police chase Thursday morning that ended with the arrest of a man who lead police on a high-speed chase with children in his vehicle.

MSP was called to assist the Taylor police early Thursday for an alleged domestic assault case. The suspect's vehicle, a red Jeep, was spotted on the freeway. Police attempted to make a traffic stop on I-96, but the vehicle sideswiped a patrol car.

State troopers were able to stop the suspect by boxing him in on the ramp of Davison Ave. to eastbound I-96.

There were two young children in the vehicle. Both were transported to local hospitals as a precaution, said police.
