Police released dashcam video of the police chase that ended in a fatal crash in Port Huron at 24th and Dove St. on Wednesday.

A white Camaro, driven by a 35-year-old woman from Port Huron, failed to stop for an officer who observed the car traveling at a high rate of speed.

Despite the officer's activated lights and siren, the car failed to stop, traveling at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The officer was a distance away from the intersection where the crash occurred, due to the excessive speeds of the Camaro.

The driver ran a red light and initially hit a pick-up truck, making a northbound turn onto 24th. The Camaro then struck a suspect vehicle, killing a 48-year-old woman, and a third vehicle near the intersection was also hit. A total of four vehicles were involved in the crash.

The deceased victim has been identified by police as Kristine Donahue, a woman from Chesterfield Township.

Police say the driver of the Camaro is in critical, but stable condition. She was driving the car with an expired license.

She was also driving with three passengers. One passenger, a 21-year-old man from Port Huron is in very critical condition.

Both of the other passengers, a 33-year-old and 31-year-old men from Port Huron, are both in critical condition.

Police say a loaded handgun that was reported stolen from a residence in Port Huron in March 2018 was found in the suspect's car. The investigation is continuing, police say.
