(WXYZ) — Get your tissues ready. Music is proving to show incredible responses in Alzheimer's patients.
Marta Gonzalez, a former prima ballerina in the New York Ballet back in the 60's, was transformed when she heard the music from Swan Lake.
The emotional moment was shared by a Spanish charity, which uses meaningful music from the lives of dementia patients to improve their mood and memory.
Sadly, Marta passed away last year. But she will definitely live on through her performance, giving inspiration for others to use music to bring joy to those with Alzheimer's disease.
