Officer gives final Code 3 before retiring

A video posted on the Salem County, N.J. 9-1-1 Center Facebook page shows an emotional moment where a police sergeant gives his final Code 3 sign-off before retiring.

Sgt. Douglas Hogate Sr. served 28 years with the Salem County Police Department and had his last shift on March 28.

His son issued the Code 3 and said, "It is my honor as Salem County PST Douglas Hogate Jr. to acknowledge this Code 3 to the greatest man I know."
