Detroit police have released video of a car wanted in the shooting of a 9-year-old boy in Detroit.

The car, which is described as a silver Dodge Magnum, is seen speeding from the scene after the shooting.

It comes as Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to track down the person who shot a 9-year-old boy in the head last weekend in Detroit.

There's now a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

Malik Cosey, Jr. was shot while sitting inside his grandma's car last Saturday around 2:48 p.m.

It happened on the west side near Greenfield and Fenkell. Two other kids were in the car as well. We're told they were about to go to the movies when someone in a Dodge Magnum fired shots at two people running in the boy's direction.

Cosey Jr. is still recovering in the hospital. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help him and his family.

Police are searching for the two victims and the possibly two suspects in the case.

If you have any information, you're urged to call Detroit police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

A city-wide coalition committed to peace and unity is also hosting a number of walks in the coming weeks. This Friday, one will be dedicated to Cosey Jr. It starts at 6 p.m.
