Body camera footage released from Dearborn police on Monday shows officers working to rescue a woman from inside her burning home.
The fire started last Tuesday at the home in the 2100 block of Denwood. When officers arrived, they found the woman being overcome by smoke. Officers tried to get in through the door, but couldn't because of the fire.
They then worked to get the woman, who became unconscious, out of the home through the window. Eventually, they got her out safely and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers were also treated for minor injuries.
Dearborn fire arrived and put out the fire and found out that luckily, no one else was in the home.
