Video surveillance shows armed robbery at gas station, two suspects on the loose

Detroit police have arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a gas station on the 15200 block of east 7 Mile Road.

The robbery took place on December 11 around 2:25 a.m.

Two men approached a 31-year-old man and robbed him at gunpoint.

Video surveillance shows an armed man pointing a rifle with a laser light at the victim. The other suspect went through the victim's pockets, taking his wallet and other belongings. The victim complied with demands.

A third suspect was waiting in an older model silver Chevy Tahoe.

After reviewing the surveillance footage, police were able to identify the suspect who took the victim's property. He was arrested in Macomb County. The other two suspects are on the loose.

At the Detroit Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center, officers reviewed the video footage and recognized the suspect who took the victim’s property. Investigators worked diligently to locate the suspect who was arrested on Friday, December 16, 2016 at approximately 2:00 p.m., by our Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team, in Macomb County.
