The 2017 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear is asking for your help as one of nearly 1,000 volunteers to help during race weekend.
Taking place from June 2-4 on Belle Isle, available volunteer assignments include Customer relations, circuit marshalls, ticket scanners, on-tract services, ushers and more.
This year, they are also offering greater flexibility and reduced shift timelines for registration requirements. You can choose between one-day, two-day or three-day experience, but most departments do ask for volunteers to work one shift on Saturday and one on Sunday.
To volunteer, you have to join the Detroit Grand Prix Association for $15, but you will get an event credential, volunteer uniform of shirt, hat, pin, free off-island parking and lunch every day.
