A Warren father is being held in the death of his one-year-old daughter.
On June 29th, emergency crews responded to a call for help in the 12000 block of Sidonie. When they arrived, the little girl was unresponsive.
According to police, her father, James Michael Franks, said he had a seizure and fell, injuring the little girl. However, the medical examiner concluded the injuries didn't back up his story.
While investigating the child's death, police also discovered meth on the property. Franks was originally picked up for the drugs, and is now also being held for felony murder in the death of his daughter. He is scheduled to be arraigned August 2nd.
