WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Waterford Township Police Department still need your help identifying a suspect who caught on camera stealing a purse at a local McDonald's.

Police say the man swiped the purse from the play area at the Elizabeth Lake Road location. He picked up the purse after it had been accidently left behind and concealed it by draping his jacket over it, police say.

The suspect, who's been escaping police since March 2019, is described as a white man with arm tattoos leaving the McDonald's with a woman and child in a black Chrysler minivan.

At the time of the theft, he was last seen wearing black hat, red plaid jacket, white shirt, khakis and red shoes.

If you recognize the man or have any information regarding the incident, call Waterford Police at (248) 674-COPS.
