FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Crews are making repairs to a water main in downtown Ferndale, the city said Sunday.
According to the city of Ferndale, the main break happened along West Troy Street, across from the Dot construction site overnight. To make the repairs, the water supply will be shutoff.
There is no boil water advisory at this time because the water remains pressurized. However, water may appear brown in color due to sediment that got disrupted because of the break.
Businesses along West Troy may be impacted while repairs are happening.
There is no estimated time of completion for the repairs. DPW crews and the city's construction manager, Colasanti, are completing the repairs.
According to the city of Ferndale, repairs are being made "as expediently as possible," and the public will be updated as progress is made.
