Metro Detroit police officer charged with sex assault, domestic violence

A Waterford Township police officer is accused of domestic violence and criminal sexual conduct, according to authorities.

The Waterford Township Police Department reports that they were made aware of the incident on March 20. 

After an investigation, the results were submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. A two-count warrant was issued for Waterford Township Police Officer Brendon Moquin - who has been with the department for 3 and a half years.

Moquin was arraigned and bond was set at $25,000. The officer has been placed on administrative leave.
