Wayne County Clerk: Unofficial election results will be available at 9 p.m.

WAYNE COUNTY (WXYZ) — For Wayne County residents, you can start viewing unofficial general election results beginning at 9 p.m. on Election Day, according to Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett.

Those unofficial results will then be updated every hour after 9 p.m.

“Due to the significant increase in absentee ballots, we cannot project how long the tabulations will take for the 43 local clerks,” Garrett said.

Wayne County is the largest county in the state of Michigan, and res presents 43 communities. There are 1,115 precincts in Wayne County.

The county notes that the Wayne County Elections Division cannot report 100 percent of unofficial results until each municipality has transmitted results.
