Wayne County courts offering amnesty program for people with unpaid fees

Wayne County courts has an amnesty program for people who have unpaid traffic tickets and other fees. It gives people the chance to pay without any additional penalties.

The program starts Monday, March 27 and runs through Friday, April 28. Wayne County says this is a one-time effort to clear a backlog of cases.

In Detroit, 36th District Court in Detroit is not taking part. Each court has different guidelines.

The participating courts are as follows:
