WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Here's a fun way to enjoy the warm weather with the family!
The Wayne County Family Aquatic Center is welcoming residents and visitors for its opening weekend.
The park, located on 12600 Chandler Park Drive in Detroit, will be open during the Memorial Day weekend Saturday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wayne County's largest family water park sits on more than 22,000 square feet of beautifully landscaped grounds on Detroit’s eastside. The facility also features a wave pool, two super-sized water slides, a children’s pool play land, a sundeck/picnic area and much more. Visitors can sign up for morning swimming lessons, book birthday parties or group reservations and enjoy fun programming such as the “World’s Largest Swim Lesson” and “Back to School Splash”
“The sun is finally out and the weather is getting warmer which means fun and great memories at our Wayne County Aquatic Center,” said Beverly J. Watts, Director of the Department of Public Services. “The Wayne County Aquatic Center provides families and visitors a clean, safe and fun environment to create wonderful summer memories.”
The entrance fee for Wayne County residents is $2 for children under 2 years old, $5 for children ages 3-12 and $7 for adults.
