Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy will hold a series of town hall meetings throughout the county.

The first will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Northville Township.

The communities invited are: Northville, Northville Township, Plymouth, Plymouth Township, Canton Township, Livonia and Redford Township.

Worthy will hold a brief presentation on the following topics: How the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office operates, school threats, domestic violence, body-worn cameras, sexual assault kits, home invasions and the newly formed Business Protection Unit.

“I have always wanted to do these Town Halls. There are so many serious issues right now that my office deals with on a daily basis. Most people’s idea of what an urban prosecutor’s office is, and what we deal with on a daily basis is not depicted realistically anywhere. The meetings will be an upfront and personal. We will cover all of Wayne County communities, and will be coming to a venue near you,” Worthy said.

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

The town hall meeting will be held at the Northville Township Hall, located at 44405 Six Mile Rd. in Northville Township. Future meetings will be held at various locations in Detroit and other Wayne County communities. Details will be announced in January 2019.
