WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The westbound I-94 ramp to northbound I-75 was closed for hours due to a fatal single-vehicle crash, police say.
The 21-year-old female driver was found dead on the scene, police say. Investigators say a Ford SUV was northbound when the driver lost control and struck overpass supports. Police say it is not known if seatbelts were used.
The investigation is continuing pending reconstruction work and autopsy results for cause of death. Next of kin have been notified. Alcohol/Narcotic use may be a factor. Unknown if seatbelts were used.

Northbound I-75 is officially back open.
More and more police arriving. Putting texts/calls into @mspmetrodet, @MDOT_MetroDet to get details. Large area of NB 75 shutdown beginning at Mack. 7 marked cars. More unmarked. Better vantage point appears to be shattered rear window. Car flat against wall no room for door. pic.twitter.com/Ab6z8fuwTe
