A social media post is getting a lot of attention after a woman says her disabled grandfather was denied service at a nail salon.

Howard Averbuch was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease nearly 10 years ago.

He says he had an appointment to get a pedicure and manicure at Lucy’s Nails in Commerce Township Thursday.

When he and his friend arrived they were told Averbuch was too shaky and refused to give him service.

Averbuch was able to go to another salon, but after being a loyal customer to Lucy’s he says he will never go there again.

The family says they have gotten a lot of encouragement from the community.

The nail salon says Averbuch is not a regular and the reason they told him they weren't able to provide him service was for his safety because they were scared that he could possibly get hurt.
