(WXYZ) — Will we have a white Christmas in metro Detroit. Looking at the temperature trends, there is a chance, albeit not a great one with 10 days until the holiday.
7 First Alert Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes says the temperature trend is mild to start the week, but colder air will move south by mid-week, which means we could have a colder Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
As for the chance of a white Christmas, Kevin said as of Dec. 15, it's about a 20% chance of having 1" of snow or more on the ground.
Kevin reports that 42% of Christmas days have been a White Christmas.
