DETROIT (WXYZ) — It will be Christmas in July for one family today.
Detroit will announce its pick for the Campus Martius tree this afternoon.
The Downtown Detroit Partnership has been looking for perfect the tree all month. The partnership wanted a Norway Spruce that's at least 60 feet tall and within 50 miles of the city.
Last year, the tree came from the yard of a family in Plymouth Township.
We'll have the announcement of this year's winner today on 7 Action News at noon.
