ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Roseville police are investigating the scene where a 69-year-old woman was found dead inside a home in the 29000 block of Congress.
Officers were called to the location for a welfare check after family expressed concern over their grandmother. When police arrived, they say a woman who identified herself as the deceased woman's daughter, "appeared to be evasive" when officers asked her questions about the 69-year-old's welfare.
Ultimately, a search warrant was obtained so that officers could enter the home where they located the dead woman around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
At this time, the identity of the dead woman has not been confirmed, police say.
The 50-year-old woman who identified as the dead woman's daughter was questioned by police. She's lives at the home and is currently being held in connection to the investigation. A 34-year-old man who is an acquaintance of the 50-year-old, was also questioned by police and later released.
This is being investigated as a homicide.
