A woman is recovering this morning after she was attacked and robbed in a grocery store parking lot in Detroit.

Two suspects are still on the run.

Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Consuelo Gonzolez says she was walking from her car to the grocery store when a man approached her and threw her down to the ground, demanding her purse.

At that moment,  police say another man pulled up in his vehicle and started yelling at Consuelo's attacker and another man who was acting as a look out. At that point, both suspects took off running, pulled out a gun and fired at the man who had come to the victim's rescue.

Consuelo did sustain a cut to her head, but she refused to go to the hospital and is recovering at home.

If you have any information regarding this incident, call police.
