The Woodhaven and Trenton Animal Shelter is asking for the public's help to track down a woman who dropped off several "extremely matted" cats in front of the facility early this morning.
The animal shelter posted photos of the woman and the cats to its official Facebook page. The post says the woman dropped the animals off around 6:30 a.m. The shelter is located at 21860 Van Horn Road in Woodhaven.
Shelter workers are trying to find the woman, noting that leaving animals outside of a shelter is against the law according to a local ordinance.
We're told the cats are so badly matted that they may have to undergo anesthesia before they can be cleaned up.
