ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — Allen Park police say a woman was arraigned on charges after allegedly driving while intoxicated and killing a motorcyclist.
According to police, 49-year-old Mia Allen was charged with reckless driving causing death, operating while intoxicated causing death and habitual offender 3rd notice.
On Tuesday, the victim was stopped at a traffic light on WB M-39 at Allen Rd. when Allen allegedly struck the motorcycle from behind and pushed it into the vehicle in front of the victim. He was taken to the hospital but later died.
At the time of the crash, police believe Allen was on drugs.
