Woman critically injured after jumping from Detroit apartment fire

Detroit fire officials tell 7 Action News a woman was critically injured after jumping from her apartment that was on fire in Detroit this morning.

It happened on Grand River near Martin Luther King on the city's west side.

Fire crews say four other people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and the flames are under control. The fire was on the seventh floor.

We're told the woman is in her 20s and has multiple internal injuries. Neighbors held a blanket to try and help the woman as she jumped.
