CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Moving to a new city, a new state can be a big adventure!

But for one young lady from metro Detroit and her mom, they say their moving experience is a big mess!

The customer claims to have paid much more than originally quoted by Household Hauling, a moving service. She says she was even forced to fork over more cash on the spot upon delivery.

She says her things arrived 10 days late, though the company disagrees. However, the overall situation has the Clinton Township native crying foul!

The duo submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. The Director of Marketing for the BBB, Laura Blankenship, who servs Southeast Michigan, has an important message for the public as well.

“These situations happen more often than people think," Blankship said. "When you’re trusting a company with all your belongings, it’s so important to verify that they are who they say they are. If the company is difficult to find online, and or there is very little contact information, that’s a huge red flag."
