Woman reportedly smokes crack cocaine after crashing into deputy vehicles in Harrison Township

A woman is accused of smoking crack cocaine after her vehicle crashed into deputy vehicles Harrison Township.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on her vehicle, but she disobeyed all attempts to get it stopped and began to flee police.

Stop sticks were deployed and the tires were damaged. As deputies attempted to box in the vehicle to get it stopped, the vehicle crashed into two fully marked deputy vehicles.

The vehicle drove off road and came to a stop. The driver and passenger were instructed by several deputies with drawn pistols to show their hands.

While the passenger complied, the driver ignored deputies' commands and began smoking crack cocaine.

After refusing to open the doors for deputies, both women were removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. Neither the suspects nor the deputies were hurt in the incident.

The driver, Kristi Rettig, 36, of Eastpointe, is charged with flee and elude, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance and operating while license suspended.

The passenger, Alexandra Weed, 28, of Melvindale, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
