(WXYZ) — Two children were involved in a car crash early Thursday morning after a woman led police on a chase from Warren to Detroit's east side.
Police say the chase started in Warren on Mound Road.
7 Action News reporter Matthew Smith confirmed with Warren Police that the woman had past warrants, but the initial reason for the chase is not clear.

The woman was taken into police custody after she crashed. Officers say the children, ages 2 and 4, will be placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.
Another female driver involved in the crash was taken to a hospital and listed in temporary serious condition.
