Medical Examiner identifies woman's body pulled from Lake St. Clair

GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Medical Examiner's office has confirmed the identity of the woman pulled from Lake St Clair Wednesday.

She has been identified as Michelle Young and passed away May 22, according to officials.

Police are still working to determine how Young ended up in the water and how long she may have been there.

Her body was recovered from Lake St. Clair Wednesday morning, according to Grosse Pointe police.

Police say the body was recovered around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Lakesore Drive and Moran.

The road was shut down while investigators were on the scene. It has since reopened.
