Last month, WXYZ-TV partnered with Detroit City Council, the United Way and Faygo to help raise money to get bottles of water for Flint during the city's ongoing water crisis.
As part of the campaign, the Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers and D&B Distributors would provide bottled water below wholesale cost.
Thanks to everyone who helped donate, we were able to provide over 1 million bottles of water for the city of Flint.
On Wednesday morning, 13 semi-trucks left D&B Distributors in Westland headed for Flint with the water. In all, 28 semi-trucks will deliver water to Flint by the end of the month.
