WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 48-year-old man who was a former volunteer at Wyandotte schools faces 15 charges of criminal sexual conduct involving children stemming from three cases.
Michael Beebe was arraigned in a Wyandotte courtroom last week on the charges, ranging from criminal sexual conduct, first-degree with a person under 13, to child sexually abusive material and criminal sexual conduct, second-degree.
Police said an investigation into Beebe started in May and involves several victims.
Beebe was a member of the “Dads of Great Students” volunteer program at Monroe Elementary for several years.
It’s a watch dog program that encourages fathers, grandparents and other family members to take interest in the children’s education.
Wyandotte Schools told The News Herald that Beebe has a child who attends Monroe Elementary School.
He was arrested on July 25. No other details of the case have been released.
