WYANDOTTE (WXYZ) — Police in Wyandotte are asking for the public's help in locating the person caught on home surveillance video trying to firebomb a home with a Molotov cocktail.

The homeowner says he has been the target of verbal assaults with his Trump 2020 flag on a high profile display in his front yard.

The most recent alleged attack happened Sunday night. You can see someone on surveillance video ride up to the home on a bicycle, then run up to the house and toss something and immediately run off.

The homeowner says this is not somebody he knows or recognizes. Police are saying an explosive device was used. It was a bottle with blue tape and a rag coming out of it.

It's now being tested for fingerprints and other evidence.

The bottle hit the homeowners front window, but didn't go through. Otherwise the damage could've been much worse.

The homeowner's brother lives right around the corner, and says he's also been the target of verbal attacks because of his support of President Trump.
