WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman is facing charges after allegedly shooting a food delivery driver in Wyandotte.
On Aug. 26, officers responded to a "shots fired" call for service in the 800 block of 8th Street. The caller, a GrubHub delivery driver, said the suspect, 32-year-old Michelle York, ordered fast food, but was highly upset when the food was delivered.
Police say York produced a firearm and allegedly fired at least one shot at the driver before he fled.
Police say officers recovered evidence that supported the allegations; after a brief stand-off, York was arrested.
York was arraigned and charged with: Assault with the intent to commit murder; assault with the intent to do great bodily harm; assault with a dangerous weapon; assault & battery; and three counts of felony firearm.
