(WXYZ) — The Yankee Air Museum is reopening on Tuesday, June 30 after being closed for more than 100 days due to the coronavirus outbreak.
According to the museum, there was a reopening task force created to craft plans and procedures to safely open during the COVID-19 outbreak.
“People are anxious to return to their favorite cultural institutions and Yankee Air Museum is ready to again welcome aviation history enthusiasts,” said Kevin Walsh, Executive Director of Yankee Air Museum. “We are emerging with a fresh outlook and a socially responsible design of our Air Adventures, exhibits, activities and events.”
Walsh is encouraging everyone to visit the Yankee Air Museum’s website at www.yankeeiarmuseum.org now and plan on visiting in-person, beginning June 30, 2020. Air Adventures on the B-17 Yankee Lady begin on July 1. The Museum is located at 47884 D Street, Belleville, Michigan 48111.
It's the latest museum to open. Last week, The Henry Ford announced it would slowly reopen beginning in July.
